Majority of our day to day work involves general maintenance on all types / makes of overhead cranes. This gives us a great insight on the quality of products the market has to offer.

Unlike the larger manufacturers, who apply the bare minimum view to the design of their cranes, GNT Cranes take the “next size up” approach to ensure quality / crane longevity is achieved.

We have found that the JLP Wire Rope Hoist and Hitachi Chain Hoist are far and above the best quality hoists on the market at present. They are strong, simple and have great support in regards to spare parts and any warranty issues that may arise. The JLP Hoist is locally produced by Hydromech in Dandenong along with Hydromech’s end carriages, GNT Cranes Manufacture a strong, simple Crane.

Many European manufacturers use a software package to control the electrics of their cranes. Besides being unreliable and expensive to repair/replace, access to this software is difficult, thus limiting the choice to the end user on their service provider for the life of the crane. The electrical system supplied in our cranes are built in-house by GNT Cranes, and comprise of a durable generic contactor control system, to ensure easy and inexpensive replacement of electrical spare parts.
